What we do
Even non-veggies will be impressed by VegOut's imaginative and delicious food.
We will meet you to design an individual menu and give you the chance to taste some samples of the kind of food you would like - traditional, or perhaps with a theme - Thai, Greek, Indian and much more.
We provide a flexible service, whether you would like delivery only, or a buffet or sit down meal with the full service of our friendly and experienced staff.
VegOut can supply veggie wines, including champagne to accompany our range of canapés, and our vegetarian and vegan wedding cakes are original and delicious.
Our aim is to work with you to make your day everything you could wish for.
Ethical Action
We are exclusively vegetarian and vegan caterers, approved by both the Vegetarian Society and the Vegan Society. VegOut is also a member of A Taste of Sussex, which supports local food suppliers and producers.
We use organic dairy produce which reflects higher animal welfare standards, and free range eggs. We consult with clients regarding use of locally sourced and/organic produce, and encourage the use of seasonal food in our menus.
We use only Fairtrade tea, coffee, sugar and, where applicable, fruit. Our dishes are prepared from fresh ingredients, with no artificial flavourings, colourings or preservatives.
A few ways we're trying to make a difference
Recycling
Kitchen waste is composted; glass, cardboard and cans are recycled. At events requiring disposables, we use plates made from reeds from a sustainable source and wooden cutlery, all of which is compostable.
Reducing carbon footprint
We arrange car sharing for staff travelling to events.
Using organic products
We use organic dairy produce (see above) and other organic produce where possible in consultation with the client.
Supporting local producers
We work closely with local suppliers (see above). We also use locally sourced charcoal from coppiced Sussex woodland for barbecues (see below).
Using cruelty-free products
We use cruelty free cleaning products.
Supporting fair trade
Tea, coffee and some fruit as applicable (see above).
Supporting / working with a charity
We have run veggie barbecues and food stalls at animal welfare/environmental events and donated meal vouchers and food as raffle/auction prizes.
Vegetarian / vegan
We are exclusively vegetarian caterers.
