What we do

Organic Buffet

Organic Buffet are Soil Association registered organic caterers specialising in cold buffets, hog roasts and spit roasts.

We believe great food starts with great ingredients.

Not expensive, or complicated just wholesome, tasty and fresh.

The varied ingredients are combined imaginatively, prepared fresh on the day and presented with care. We will also stay on site - discreetly re-arranging the dishes, removing empty platters - and are happy to answer any questions about the produce.

As well as many private functions and weddings, our clients include District Councils of Reading, Uxbridge and Oxford, Defra and the NHS.  Menus include meat, cheese and vegetarian options with fruit always on the menu.

Ethical Action

Organic Buffet

Plentiful use of local organic produce. We buy our bread from an artisan baker friend (voted best bakery in England for the 2nd year running), and vegetables and other goods from local growers or specialist suppliers.

Non-organic food is limited to local produce blue cheese, free-range chicken, trout pate and seasonal fruit. All our other produce is organic.

We serve on reusable platters and ceramic plates.

Awards and Recommendations

Organic Buffet is registered to the Soil Association foodservice and catering code of practice.

Recommendation from Tom & Ruth, who hired Organic Buffet to cater for their Oxford wedding in June 07:

Ruth - ”Tom and I wanted to thank you and your team again for such a great wedding buffet, and for being so helpful and nice to plan it with. Lots of our guests have commented on how tasty the food was, how friendly and helpful you were, and how much they appreciated the food being organic and carefully sourced. Everybody enjoyed it.  It was exactly what we hoped for our wedding and we will recommend you to anybody organising a party.”

Tom - ”Just to add my thanks to Ruth’s; the food was fantastic and really contributed to the success of the day. We both found it reassuring how you got behind the spirit of the event and made sure it was how we wanted it.”
