What we do

Welcome to the wonderful world of handmade paper.

If you are looking for something out-of-the-ordinary and value quality, our unique wedding invitations and other wedding paper gifts could be just the thing.

Couples who choose Indipaper products love nature and like to be reminded of it while looking at and using our paper. This unique paper is only made by a wonderful little company in the South of India and is imported exclusively by us. We have a close and dear relationship with this company.

A beautiful, Indipaper bespoke wedding invitation designed by us, with and for you, sets the tone for an elegant, eco-chic wedding celebration.

We also have gorgeous gift wrap papers, sweet little photo albums, gift envelopes, champagne bags and more for your eco-friendly wedding.

Ethical action

Indipaper's wedding invitations are all made by hand in the South of India and have beautiful leaf imprints.  No two invitations are the same and you get to hold a piece of nature in your hands.

Our ecologically sound handmade paper is made only from vegetal fibres. It is free from toxic substances and no trees need to be cut down for its manufacture.  You can print on the paper with an inkjet or laser printer, or let us print the cards for you in India.

Our paper products are created and manufactured in Auroville, an international city in South India, by a company which employs more than 60 workers, mostly women, who come from neighbouring villages. All the workers are given training, made aware of ecological concerns, and gain a greater appreciation of nature's beauty. Creativity is encouraged in an atmosphere of constant learning and striving for perfection.  Some of the local women have even begun their own enterprises after receiving training through their work here.

The local community participates in the management of the enterprise and the salary of the workers is above the minimum wage. Working conditions are of a very high standard and two years ago Auroville Press built a brand new crèche for the children of the workers.

Profits from Auroville Press go towards developing the community and Auroville Press, enabling more local people to learn, work and in turn give back to their community.

A few ways we're trying to make a difference
