What we do

EcoChic is a Sussex partnership; we design, produce and supply a special collection of limited edition Fair Trade & ethical products: Gifts, Men's & Women's Fashion, Accessories, Homewares & Childrenswear.

For ethical and green weddings, we have are a selection of beautiful gifts, photograph albums, photograph frames, the Kautmi ring, and a selection of Fair Trade flowers.

EcoChic showcases our own Fair Trade collections & a community of pioneering and inspirational designers, producers & suppliers, carefully selected collection from skilled artisans from marginalised groups in India, Nepal, Mexico, Zimbabwe, Vietnam and Africa and our ethical collections here in the UK.

Many of our stylish Fair Trade & ethical ranges are handmade, limited edition, organic and use eco-friendly methods of production. Each product with beautiful designs and beautiful beginnings has a story which we tell for you.

EcoChic believes very strongly in not just talking about sustainability and taking responsibility for our environment and our future, but in demonstrating to our customers that our products are ethically sourced and our methods are as ‘green' as we can make them.

As a partnership, EcoChic believes that what we wear and consume can be both stylish and ethical, made in a just way that gives people the ability to support themselves in dignity, is kind to our planet and respects the traditional skills of artisans, so that families can stay together and communities can grow.
We hope we inspire you to join us in creating beautiful change in our world with exclusive & unique collections and personal service, true style with a conscience.

Ethical action

The principles we adhere to are ones of openess, transparency and fairness in our business practice. Our partners are accredited Fair Trade organisations and follow the Fair Trade practices laid down by IFAT; our ethical suppliers in the UK adhere to the principles laid down by the ethical trading initiative.

Our ECO policies:

  • The collections we hold are often handmade and so have the smallest carbon-footprints.
  • We are one of the few companies with accredited Fair Trade products, sourced from BAFTS, IFAT & SA8000 which gives great attention to environmentally-friendly production methods. Our partnerships with UK producer organisations are chosen for their ethical trading initiatives and environmental concerns.
  • The EcoChic team, "have a flair for fashion, but more importantly, a passion for people and our environment"
  • All our paper, business cards, boxes and tissue paper are recycled or from sustainable sources
  • We recycle & compost our waste
  • All our products are genuine Fair Trade, where possible we source organic, recycled and sustainable products
  • We source our products from BAFTS (British Association of Fair Trade Shops) or IFAT (International Fair Trade Association) or those Companies with the SA800 Certification only, who are the regulators of Fair Trade organisations and who have strong environmental policies
  • Our accredited Fair Trade suppliers are environmentally conscious and who often use shipping as an alternative to air freight to reduce their carbon footprint
  • Our clothing and accessories product range is all handmade using less energy in its production process
  • Whenever possible we source products that are naturally produced
  • We support Organic Farming methods and source organic cotton whenever we can
  • Many of our suppliers avoid using damaging chemicals in the production process using recycled and biogradable substances instead and we strongly support this
  • Our suppliers also try to recycle what they can and aim to protect water supplies and forests in the enviroments they work in
